Veritas Polychem's 2274.35 Crore Investment in Maharashtra

Veritas Polychem Private Limited is set to launch a Polyvinyl Chloride Project at Dighi Port, Raigarh, Maharashtra, covering a vast plot area of 59.277 acres in Nanavali Village. Emphasizing environmental stewardship, the industry plans to allocate 33.78% of the total area, approximately 20.025 acres, for the development of a green belt.

With an estimated project cost of Rs. 2274.35 Crores, significant capital investment has been earmarked for environmental pollution control measures, totaling Rs. 13.03 Crores. Additionally, an annual recurring cost of Rs. 1.39 Crores is allocated for the operation and maintenance of the project.

The project is poised to create substantial employment opportunities, with 1000 direct positions comprising permanent employees and contract workers, along with an indirect workforce of approximately 5000 individuals. Furthermore, the company pledges to allocate Rs. 10 Crores towards Corporate Environmental Responsibility initiatives, demonstrating a commitment to sustainable practices.

To meet the power demands of the project, 13880 KVA of electricity will be required, sourced from four LNG-based Gas Engines or Gas Turbines, generating a total of 18 MW for captive consumption. Each gas engine will be equipped with a Waste Heat Recovery Boiler (WHRB) of 3.5 TPH, while a standby 315 KVA DG set will ensure uninterrupted power supply during emergencies, adhering to CPCB norms.

The Polyvinyl Chloride Project will feature two boilers with capacities of 20 TPH and 5 TPH, utilizing LNG as fuel for hot water generation. With stack heights of 30 meters for each boiler, the project is committed to complying with emission standards set by regulatory authorities.
