B First Pharma planning to set up Pharmaceutical Ingredients Manufacturing Unit in Gujarat

B First Pharma Private Limited plans to establish a project for Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API) in Bherai, Kheda, Gujarat, India. The initiative is in the pre-feasibility stage and is expected to cost around 6 Crores. The API project will manufacture a variety of APIs, including antibiotics, anti-inflammatory drugs, and anti-cancer drugs, with a manufacturing capacity of 20 Tns per month (MTPA). The project is anticipated to be concluded in twenty-four months after construction commences. The API initiative is anticipated to generate approximately 100 permanent and temporary employment opportunities. It will also contribute to the expansion of Gujarat's pharmaceutical industry. 

The government of Gujarat supports the API initiative and has provided B First Pharma Private Limited with several incentives, including a land subsidy and tax exemption. Significant for Gujarat's pharmaceutical industry, the API initiative is anticipated to attract additional API manufacturers to the state. As of September 2023, The project is now in the stage of construction being started the work on the project will be finished in 2024, 2025 or 2026 It has been decided to hire a local contractor.
