Nilkanth Drugs & Intermediates plans to set up Bulk Drugs & Intermediates Unit in Gujarat

Nilkanth Drugs & Intermediates wants to build a plant to make bulk drugs and bulk drug intermediates at Plot No. C1-5509, GIDC Estate, Ankleshwar, District Bharuch, Gujarat. The machine will be able to handle bulk drugs and bulk drug intermediates at a rate of 70.1 TPM per year. The company has asked the government for permission to do the work. The environmental effect assessment report (EIAR) for the project was made by Aqua-Air Environmental Engineers Pvt. Ltd.

The EIAR has looked at how the project might affect the environment and made suggestions on how to lessen these effects. The project will mostly do the following to the earth:The project will put pollutants like SO2, NOx, and particle matter into the air. The lungs, the heart, and other parts of the body can get sick from these toxins.Pollution of the water: The project will make wastewater, which will have chemicals and other poisons in it.

The water around this waste water can become dirty, which is bad for sea life and people's health.Noise pollution: The project will cause noise pollution because of how the plant works. Besides hurting your hearing, this noise pollution can hurt your health in other ways as well.Changes in how land is used: The project will need to use land, which could force people and animals to move. The EIAR has come up with ideas for how to lessen these bad effects on the earth.

These steps include:Pollutants can be released less when pollution control devices are put in place. Before water goes back into the ground, pollutants are taken out of it.Noise pollution can be reduced by using tools that make less noise.People and animals who were hurt by the change in how the land was used were given money.Getting environmental clearance is still a work in progress.

The Ministry of Environment, Forests, and Climate Change (MoEFCC) will decide whether or not to give environmental clearance for the project after looking at the EIAR and any other relevant information. If the project is given environmental clearance, Nilkanth Drugs & Intermediates will have to follow the rules set by the clearance. With these rules, the project won't hurt the environment too much.
