Orexo India Life Sciences Private Limited is launching a new project in Varade, Satara, Maharashtra to manufacture Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs). The Maharashtra Pollution Control Board and the Ministry of Environment, Forests, and Climate Change have both approved the project.
The project is scheduled to be finished in 2024, with a capacity of 601 TPA. The company will produce a variety of APIs, such as ethyl acetate, acetaldehyde, and other ester and aldehyde derivatives. Over 200 individuals are expected to be employed as a result of the initiative.

It is expected to help the state achieve its goal of becoming a leading hub for the manufacture of APIs.
As of September 2023, The project is now in the stage of construction being started the work on the project will be finished in 2024, 2025 or 2026 It has been decided to hire a local contractor.
