L&T & Hitachi Energy Seal 8 GW Offshore Wind Agreement

L&T, in partnership with Hitachi Energy, has concluded a Framework Cooperation Agreement (FCA) with TenneT covering up to six offshore wind projects.

The consortium will advance two active projects (IJmuiden Ver Alpha and Nederwiek 1) and initiate two new ones (Nederwiek 3 in the Netherlands and LanWin 5 in Germany). Combined, these four 525 kV projects represent 8 GW of renewable capacity feeding North Sea wind energy into the European grid.

L&T will lead the engineering, procurement, construction, and installation (EPCI) of the offshore converter platforms, supported by its Kattupalli fabrication facility and global engineering centers, while Hitachi Energy integrates its advanced HVDC Light® technology.
