AMPIN Energy Transition has signed a long-term renewable power purchase agreement (PPA) with Air Liquide India to supply 6.6 MW of clean energy from its wind–solar hybrid project. The renewable power will be delivered to Air Liquide’s facility in Jhagadia, Gujarat.
The project is expected to meet around 60 percent of the facility’s electricity requirements through renewable sources, helping reduce its carbon footprint by offsetting approximately 22,000 tonnes of CO₂ emissions annually. Benoit Renard, General Manager of Air Liquide India, said the PPA is a key element of the company’s strategy to decarbonise its operations.
The partnership represents a significant step toward more sustainable industrial operations in India. Highlighting the broader impact of the collaboration, Pinaki Bhattacharyya, Founder, Managing Director and CEO of AMPIN Energy Transition, said the agreement supports Air Liquide’s decarbonisation goals and reflects a shared vision for advancing clean energy adoption across India’s industrial sector.
