Going Atomic: Adani Power Eyes Bina for First Nuclear Project

Adani Power is exploring nuclear energy development—including a potential first nuclear site at Bina, Madhya Pradesh—as part of its strategic shift following India's SHANTI Act, 2025. Leveraging land acquired via a 24% stake in Jaiprakash Power Ventures Ltd (JPVL), the company is evaluating whether to expand thermal operations or dedicate sites at Bina and Nigrie to nuclear power. Adani Power aims to build 10 GW of nuclear capacity by 2035 through its new subsidiary, Adani Atomic Energy Ltd.
