Hindustan Power Sparks 800 MW Mega-Deal with Madhya Pradesh

Hindustan Power, through its subsidiary Anuppur Powerprojects, has signed a long-term power supply agreement (PSA) with MP Power Management Company.

Under the agreement, the company will supply 800 MW of electricity to Madhya Pradesh from its upcoming power generation unit in Anuppur. The supply is scheduled to commence in 2031 and will continue for 25 years, with an option to extend the contract by an additional five years.

The project is being developed under the design, build, finance, own, and operate (DBFOO) model. The upcoming unit will use advanced ultra-supercritical technology to provide efficient large-scale baseload power and support rising industrial and economic demand.

The agreement marks a major step in Hindustan Power’s expansion plans and further strengthens its presence in Madhya Pradesh’s energy sector. Chairman Ratul Puri said the partnership reflects the company’s long-term commitment to the state and highlights its capability to execute large-scale infrastructure projects.
