Jawahar Shetkari SSK Plans to expand Bagasse Based Power in Maharashtra

The proposed expansion of Jawahar Shetkari SSK Limited's (JSSSL) sugar plant from 12,000 TCD to 16,000 TCD along with a 28.5 MW power plant at Hupar in Kolhapur District, Maharashtra, is an important development that aims to increase sugar production, generate electricity, and contribute to the economy of the local area.

Cane crushing capacity increased from 12,000 TCD to 16,000 TCD as a result of the expansion of the sugar plant.

The capacity of the power plant is 28.5 megawatts.

The total cost of the project was Rs. 34 crores.

The project is now in the stage of receiving approvals. The project has received all necessary clearances. By the end of the year 2023, development on the project will have begun.
