Kurnool Hybrid Project Gets ₹1,908 Cr Green Light

Hero Future Energies has secured ₹1,908 crore in funding from public sector banks—State Bank of India (as lead lender) and Canara Bank—for a 120 MW hybrid renewable energy project in Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh.

The funding has been extended through the special purpose vehicle (SPV) Clean Renewable Energy Hybrid Three, and will be used for the development and construction of a hybrid plant combining wind, solar, and storage technologies to deliver firm, peak-hour power.

The project, contracted with SJVN, is designed to ensure reliable energy supply during high-demand periods, addressing the intermittency challenges of standalone renewable sources. The loan carries a 21-year repayment period, offering long-term financial stability and supporting the timely execution of the project.

This initiative underscores the growing focus on integrated renewable energy solutions that improve grid resilience and advance India’s clean energy transition.
