Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Banswara, Rajasthan, on September 25, coinciding with the birth anniversary of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya, to lay the foundation stone for the Mahi-Banswara Nuclear Power Plant—a landmark project valued at ₹45,000 crore.
This initiative is part of a broader ₹1.21 lakh crore package focused on clean energy and infrastructure development. Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma hailed the project as a “historic step” toward strengthening the state’s energy security and advancing its position in the clean energy sector.
During his visit, the Prime Minister will also dedicate multiple renewable energy projects and flag off Vande Bharat Express trains on the Bikaner–Delhi route and other key corridors.
BJP State President Madan Rathore described the nuclear plant as a milestone in India's atomic energy infrastructure and a transformational investment for Rajasthan's energy landscape.
The entire event will be live-streamed across districts, municipal bodies, and gram panchayats, ensuring wide public participation and visibility.
