Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) has embarked on a significant project to enhance the electricity infrastructure in Pune district, allocating ₹7,347 crore for this purpose.
This investment aims to address the growing power demand of the region's expanding population and ensure a more efficient and reliable power distribution system.
The allocated funds will be utilized to install smart meters and implement feeder isolation techniques, which will help reduce power losses and optimize network operations.
Additionally, tenders for additional power generation, including 244 megawatts (MW) specifically for Pune district, have been released to meet the increasing energy needs of the region.
This investment is a crucial step towards addressing the electricity challenges in Pune district and enabling sustainable growth for the region.
