Welspun Specialty Solutions Ltd. (WSSL) has emerged as the lowest bidder (L1) for a significant supply contract awarded by Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd. (BHEL) for the NTPC Talcher 2x660 MW super critical thermal power project. This contract, valued at Rs 117 crore, involves the supply of seamless stainless steel boiler tubes.
WSSL's participation in this tender followed a thorough assessment and subsequent approval from both BHEL and NTPC, reflecting the company's compliance with stringent quality and performance standards required for such critical infrastructure projects.
The NTPC Talcher Thermal Power Project, Stage-III, is being developed within the old TTPS plant premises in the Angul district of Odisha. This project marks a major step in NTPC's ongoing efforts to enhance power generation capacity through the deployment of super critical thermal technology.
