North Western Railway (NWR) has issued a significant tender for ancillary works on the Jaipur-Sawai Madhopur doubling project in Rajasthan. This project spans the segment between Sawai Madhopur and Isarda stations, covering a distance from km 0.0 to km 40.7. The scope of work is extensive and includes critical infrastructure tasks such as earthwork in filling and cutting for formation, blanketing, and the construction of essential structures like station buildings.
The project will also involve the development of various passenger and goods amenities. This includes the building of platforms, platform shelters, foot overbridges (FOBs), and the installation of electrical and signaling & telecommunication (S&T) structures. Additionally, the work covers the construction or extension of level crossing gates (LHS/RUBs), minor bridges, and other ancillary facilities.
Estimated at a cost of ₹111.38 crore, the work is expected to be completed within 18 months. The deadline for submitting bids is set for August 8, 2024. This development promises to enhance the efficiency and capacity of the railway network in the region, contributing to smoother and more reliable rail services.
