The long-delayed 48-km Byappanahalli-Hosur railway track doubling project is finally entering its home stretch. Handed over to K-RIDE in 2020 after its 2018-19 sanction, the project has faced significant delays and a Rs 190 crore cost overrun, with only 30% currently operational. With upcoming girder launches and signaling works on the Heelalige-Anekal section, K-RIDE anticipates full completion by early next year, boosting crucial connectivity between Bengaluru and Hosur.
