Narayangarh-Bhadrak Third Line Gets a Bridge Boost! SER Calls for Bids

The South Eastern Railway (SER) has opened the bidding process for a significant infrastructure project involving bridge construction and earthwork. This project is part of the development of a third rail line between Narayangarh and Bhadrak, specifically focusing on the sections from Jaleswar to Rajghat and from Nuagaon Mayurbhanj Road to Rupsa.

The scope of work includes completing the remaining earthwork for embankment and cutting, extending 10 minor bridges, constructing a goomty (guardhouse), platform shelters, and undertaking permanent way linking and associated tasks. The specific sections covered are from Jaleswar (ex) to Rajghat (ex) spanning 185.75 to 190.50 kilometers and from Nuagaon Mayurbhanj Road (in) at 206.54 kilometers to Rupsa (ex) at 211.91 kilometers.

This contract is valued at Rs 100.69 crore and is expected to be completed within 12 months from the start date. The project aims to enhance the capacity and efficiency of the rail network in this region, contributing to better connectivity and transportation infrastructure.

Interested contractors must submit their bids by 08 July 2024. This deadline ensures a timely commencement of the project, aligning with SER's goal of rapidly advancing infrastructure improvements.

Overall, this project is a critical step in bolstering the railway infrastructure in the South Eastern region, promising significant benefits in terms of improved rail services and economic development.
