Ferozepur Gets Fast Lane: MoRTH Invites Bids for Four-Lane Bypass

The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) has announced a tender for the construction of a four-lane bypass with paved shoulders in Ferozepur, Punjab. This project aims to improve road connectivity and facilitate smoother traffic flow in the region.

The proposed bypass will extend from the existing km/design km 212.500 to the existing km 229.690, with a design chainage of km 231.270. The total project length covers a significant stretch, promising enhanced infrastructure for better transportation.

The estimated cost for this ambitious infrastructure project is Rs 310.09 crore. The ministry has allocated a duration of 24 months to complete the construction, indicating a substantial undertaking to boost regional development.

Interested parties are invited to submit their bids for the project. The deadline for bid submission is set for 25 July 2024, giving potential contractors ample time to prepare their proposals.

This development is part of MoRTH's ongoing efforts to upgrade the national highway network and improve road safety and efficiency. The Ferozepur bypass project is expected to contribute significantly to the economic growth and connectivity of Punjab.
