Reddy's ₹10,547 Cr. Promise: A New Era for Telangana Roads

Telangana’s Roads and Buildings Minister, Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, has announced a major road development initiative involving the construction of 5,555 km of roads under the Hybrid Annuity Model (HAM).

Valued at ₹10,547 crore, the project—set to commence by year-end—will cover 400 roads across 32 packages, making it one of the largest infrastructure upgrades in the state’s history. The HAM model, which reduces government expenditure in the initial phase, is expected to significantly enhance road quality and connectivity, positioning Telangana as a leader in infrastructure development.

Minister Reddy emphasized the transparency and cost-effectiveness of the initiative, noting its proven success in other states. To encourage broader participation, the government is also inviting small and medium contractors to bid and has released ₹100 crore in pending payments to support their involvement.
