Future Energy in Bihar: EPC Bids Open for 116 MW Solar + BESS Plant

Bihar State Power Generation Company has issued a tender for selecting an EPC contractor to develop a 116 MW AC grid-connected solar PV power plant with an integrated 50.5 MW/241 MWh battery energy storage system (BESS) at Kajra, Lakhisarai.

Valued at Rs 1,064.17 crore, the contract covers the survey, design, engineering, procurement, supply, installation, construction, and commissioning of the project on an EPC basis, followed by 10 years of operation and maintenance. This initiative aims to enhance renewable energy capacity by integrating solar power with battery storage for improved reliability.

The deadline for bid submission is April 10, 2025.
