Alpex Solar has announced plans to set up a 1.2 GW solar module manufacturing facility in Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, further strengthening its manufacturing footprint and raising its total installed capacity to 3.6 GW.
The ₹110 crore project will be financed through internal accruals and credit facilities and is expected to become operational by FY27. This strategic expansion follows a strong performance in Q1 of FY26, signaling the company’s continued growth momentum.
In parallel, Alpex Solar is also in the process of raising ₹261.16 crore through a preferential allotment, subject to shareholder approval. The company has already secured orders worth ₹1,555.03 crore in FY26, with major contracts from MSEDCL, SECI, HAREDA, CMPDIL, and three leading manufacturers.
Alpex currently operates six manufacturing units across Greater Noida, Kosi-Kotwan, Eco-Tech, and Madhya Pradesh, positioning it as a key player in India's renewable energy manufacturing ecosystem.
This expansion comes at a time when India’s solar PV manufacturing capacity has reached 100 GW, in line with the government’s Atmanirbhar Bharat initiative and broader clean energy transition goals.
