Assam's Solar Surge: ₹620 Crore Power Boost from Hindustan Power

Ratul Puri’s Hindustan Power has signed an MoU with the Assam government to invest ₹620 crore in solar power and battery energy storage projects. Announced at the Advantage Assam 2.0 Summit, this initiative supports the company’s goal of reaching a 5 GW energy portfolio within three years.

The investment includes ₹500 crore for a 100 MW solar plant and ₹120 crore for a 100 MW battery energy storage system, strengthening Assam’s energy infrastructure and generating over 5,000 man-days of employment.

The MoU was signed under the guidance of Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma and Minister Prasanta Phukan (Power, Skill, Employment & Entrepreneurship, and Medical Education & Research).
