Bondada Engineering Limited has been awarded a significant Government Order (GO) by the Energy Department of the Government of Andhra Pradesh. The order allocates the company a solar power capacity of 2000 MW AC / 2600 MWp DC, to be developed across multiple sites in the Ananthapuramu and Sri Sathya Sai districts.
The company had earlier submitted comprehensive proposals for developing solar projects in the Roddam and Kothacheruvu Mandals of Sri Sathya Sai District, as well as in Gooty, Peddavadugur, Vidapanakallu, Peddapappur, and Narpala Mandals of Ananthapuramu District. These proposals received formal approval from the State Investment Promotion Board (SIPB) during its meeting on May 15, 2025.
The allocation is subject to the condition that the proposed project areas do not overlap with sites already earmarked for other renewable energy (RE) developments or wind resource assessment studies by different developers.
The project must be executed within a 24-month timeline, in accordance with the Andhra Pradesh Integrated Clean Energy Policy – 2024.
Valued at ₹9,000 crore, this new order significantly enhances Bondada Engineering’s order book to over ₹14,000 crore. Additionally, the company expects to generate ₹1,160 crore in revenue from Independent Power Producer (IPP) operations beginning in FY 2029.
This strategic project marks a major milestone for Bondada Engineering, strengthening its role in advancing India’s renewable energy goals through the development of large-scale, sustainable energy infrastructure.
