Bharat Sanchar Nigam (BSNL) is looking for bids to connect 4.5 MW of rooftop solar photovoltaic power projects to the grid on BSNL buildings. These projects will be set up in the style of a Renewable Energy Service Company. You have until December 11, 2023, to send in your bids. On December 13, bids will be taken. India plans to give solar power capacity to Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Delhi, Jharkhand, Kerala, Odisha, Punjab, West Bengal, Uttarakhand, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim, and Tripura, among other states and union territories.
To bid, people who are interested should put down an earnest money deposit or bid security of ₹500 (about $5.99) per kW of the capacity they are offering. Before they sign the power purchase agreement, the winning buyer has to give a performance bank guarantee of ₹1,000 (~$12.13)/MW of the capacity they were given. Also, bids' net worth should be at least ₹2 million (about $24,264) per MW of the capacity that was offered as of the end of the previous fiscal year.
This tender says that technologies that are already in use and known to work should be used to keep technology risks to a minimum and make sure that projects are finished on time. Bidders must have designed, supplied, installed, and turned on grid-connected solar power projects before.
This total capacity shouldn't be less than 25% of the capacity that was offered in the seven financial years before the deadline for bids. The projects must have been put into action and been running well for at least one year. The people who want to bid must also have designed, supplied, installed, and commissioned at least one grid-connected solar power project with a minimum capacity of 100 kW in the seven years before the deadline for bids.
In the same way as before, these solar power projects had to have been put into service and worked well for at least one year. For each of the last three financial years, they should have shown that they made at least ₹4 million (~$48,527) per MW of power that was stated. Bidders must show that they have had operating cash or a line of credit for at least ₹2.25 million (~$27,297/MW of the quoted capacity during the last financial year.
The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy's Approved List of Models and Manufacturers is what BSNL wants bids to use to buy units for the project. BSNL had earlier asked for proposals for installing grid-connected solar projects on the roofs of its buildings in different parts of Maharashtra.
