Juniper's Early Win: 59 MWp Solar for Wardha

Juniper Green Energy has successfully commissioned the 59 MWp solar component of its 75 MW hybrid power project in Wardha, Maharashtra, well ahead of schedule.

Commissioned on 6 June 2025, the solar plant was completed 17 months before its scheduled commercial operation date (SCOD) of 17 November 2026—underscoring the company’s robust project execution capabilities.

The project, titled Juniper Green Power Five, has a total contracted capacity of 75 MW under a power purchase agreement (PPA) signed with the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company (MSEDCL) in November 2024. In addition to the solar installation, the hybrid project will include 26.4 MW of wind capacity. The early commissioning of the solar segment marks a key milestone toward full operationalization of the hybrid facility.

“This early commissioning highlights our strong execution capabilities and commitment to timely project delivery,” said Ankush Malik, CEO of Juniper Green Energy.

Headquartered in the Delhi NCR region, Juniper Green Energy is an independent renewable energy producer and part of the Singapore-based AT Capital Group. Since its establishment in October 2018, the company has grown its operational capacity to 1.1 GWp across utility-scale solar, wind, and hybrid energy assets in India.
