Mega-Deal: Zelestra to Supply 16.2 MW Clean Energy to Daimler India

Spain-based Zelestra has entered into an agreement with Daimler India Commercial Vehicles (DICV) to supply 16.2 MW of clean energy from its hybrid wind and solar project in Tamil Nadu.

Located near Chennai, the 149 MW project will power DICV’s Oragadam facility, where the company manufactures BharatBenz commercial trucks and luxury buses, as well as Daimler Trucks’ FUSO, Mercedes-Benz, and Freightliner brands.

“This PPA highlights Zelestra’s capability to deliver customized energy solutions by leveraging both wind and solar assets to meet DICV’s operational requirements,” the company stated.
