SECI and Apraava Team Up for Karnataka's 300 MW Wind Project

Apraava Energy, a leading integrated energy solutions provider, has successfully secured a significant milestone with the acquisition of a 300 MW wind energy project in Aski, Karnataka, courtesy of the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI).

Under the terms of the agreement, Apraava Energy assumes the responsibility for land acquisition, wind farm development, and the establishment of grid infrastructure, extending up to the metering point at the inter-state transmission system (ISTS) grid substation.

The construction of this noteworthy project is poised to meet the deadlines outlined in the power purchase agreement (PPA), spanning a duration of 25 years at a competitive rate. This venture marks Apraava's third wind project in Karnataka, a state brimming with potential for renewable energy (RE) growth. The company is committed to executing the project with the utmost adherence to operational excellence.

This venture is part of SECI's Tranche-XIV initiative, involving the auction of 1,200 MW capacity for ISTS-connected wind power projects. Currently, Apraava Energy boasts a robust renewable energy portfolio comprising 1,176 MW, encompassing projects situated in Rajasthan, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, and now, Karnataka.
