Suzlon Energy has successfully secured a contract from Everrenew Energy for a prominent 225 MW wind power project situated in Tamil Nadu, India.
Under this agreement, Suzlon Energy will be responsible for the supply of wind turbines, project management, and comprehensive operations and maintenance (O&M) services post-commissioning. The project entails the installation of 75 wind turbines, each with a three MW capacity, at two distinct sites.
Upon completion, the electricity generated will be utilized for captive consumption and to supply power to commercial and industrial (C&I) customers. This initiative aligns with India's renewable energy objectives and is anticipated to provide electricity to approximately 1.85 lakh households, contributing to an annual reduction of around 7.31 lakh tonnes of CO2 emissions.
Furthermore, this collaboration with Everrenew Energy aims to support the C&I segment, driving India's national renewable energy (RE) targets in the long run. Suzlon Energy aspires to partner with companies throughout the value chain to advance their RE objectives, thereby establishing India's RE goals as benchmarks on the global stage.
