The Green Giant: Voltsun Labs' ₹1,743 Cr. Solar Bet in Tirupati

Voltsun Labs, a subsidiary of Ravi Jaipuria’s RJ Corp, is set to invest ₹1,743 crore in a greenfield solar cell and module manufacturing facility at the Naidupeta Multi-Product SEZ in Tirupati district, Andhra Pradesh.

Approved by the state government, the project will span 37 acres and be executed in two phases, each adding 1 GW of solar cell and module capacity. The facility will deploy advanced TOPCon monocrystalline and bifacial technologies and is expected to create direct employment for 415 people. To facilitate commissioning, the state government will extend key infrastructure support, including a 40 MW power load and a 3 MLD water supply.

Voltsun’s investment strengthens Andhra Pradesh’s rapidly expanding clean-tech ecosystem, which already includes major solar, pumped-storage, and green hydrogen initiatives. The state has accelerated approvals to ensure timely project execution.

RJ Corp — globally known as PepsiCo’s largest bottling partner — also operates prominent quick-service restaurant brands such as KFC, Pizza Hut, and Costa Coffee through its franchise network.
