Uttarakhand Jal Vidyut Nigam Invites Bids for Solar in Uttarakhand

Uttarakhand Jal Vidyut Nigam Ltd (UJVN Ltd), headquartered in Dehradun, has taken a significant step towards leveraging clean and renewable energy sources. They have recently commenced an online bidding process for a series of solar photovoltaic (PV) projects, with a cumulative capacity of 17.25 MW. The objective of these projects is to establish solar power plants that will not only generate environmentally friendly electricity but also make significant contributions to the energy needs of the region.

UJVN Ltd is currently inviting bids from interested parties for the development of ground-mounted, grid-connected solar PV (photovoltaic) plants at multiple locations within Uttarakhand. The projects encompass the following:

The project aims to establish a 7.75 MW solar power plant in the Aungi region, located near Maneri in the Uttarkashi district. The project is in line with the state's vision for the generation of clean and sustainable energy.

The establishment of a 4.0 MW solar power plant near Bhatwari, situated in Uttarakashi district, is a noteworthy project. The objective of this initiative is to enhance the renewable energy capacity of Uttarakhand.

We are pleased to announce the development of a 4 MW solar plant in close proximity to the Dharasu Hydroelectric Power (HEP) facility in Chinyalisaur. The project is strategically located near the Dharasu Hydroelectric Power (HEP) facility in Chinyalisaur, Uttarakashi district, and features a 4.0 MW solar power plant. It has the potential to make a substantial contribution towards achieving the clean energy objectives of the region.

We are pleased to announce the establishment of a 1.5 MW solar plant in Gaddha Colony. The objective of the final project is to develop a 1.5 MW solar power plant in Gaddha Colony, Hathiyari, which is located near the Vyasi Hydroelectric Power (HEP) facility in Dehradun district. This initiative is an integral component of Uttarakhand's dedication to environmentally sustainable power generation.

For individuals interested in participating in these projects, the bid documents have been made accessible since October 30, 2023, and will remain available until November 28, 2023, until 4:00 PM. The implementation of these solar projects not only represents a crucial milestone in the utilization of renewable energy in Uttarakhand, but also highlights the state's unwavering commitment to achieving its clean energy goals. Additionally, they offer a distinctive opportunity for businesses and organizations to actively engage in the transition towards sustainable and environmentally friendly power sources.
