Tamil Nadu-based Swift Textiles has officially broken ground on its new manufacturing facility at the Nava Raipur Textile Park. Following a groundbreaking ceremony on June 25, construction is now underway for the Rs 235 crore project, which is projected to create over 4,600 jobs.
The new facility will specialize in kidswear and knit garments, with a major portion of its production dedicated to premium export markets in Europe and the United States. This move is set to significantly boost India’s textile export capabilities.
Spanning 81 acres, the Nava Raipur Textile Park is designed as a fully integrated industrial ecosystem. It offers world-class infrastructure, including advanced road networks, dedicated power and water systems, an administrative complex, a common facility centre, and sustainable effluent and waste management systems.
Swift Textiles is part of a larger industrial wave at the park. Together with fellow allottees Puneet Creations and Drishti Designs, total investments from the three firms will reach Rs 445 crore, ultimately generating more than 11,000 employment opportunities for the region.
