Noida International Airport (NIA) is projected to handle up to 4 million passengers in 2026, according to its developer, Zurich Airport, during a recent investor presentation.
The airport received its aerodrome licence from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation on March 6. While an official inauguration date has not yet been announced, NIA is expected to commence operations within 30–45 days of receiving the licence.
Initially, the airport will cater to domestic and cargo flights during daytime hours, with plans to gradually expand operations over the next three to four months.
