Leh airport is getting a massive upgrade. Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu recently shared that the airport's new integrated terminal is now 83% physically complete. Once fully operational, the terminal will be able to handle up to 54 flights a day—tripling its current capacity. This expansion is a major step forward for the strategically important Himalayan region, aimed at boosting tourism, strengthening connectivity to Ladakh, and delivering next-gen aviation infrastructure. A final opening date and total cost figures have not yet been released.
