Bengaluru Becomes Global Hub with TOYO MODEC OFS India Launch

Toyo Engineering Corporation (Toyo Japan) and MODEC have officially launched their new Global Capability Centre (GCC), TOYO MODEC OFS India (OFS India), in Bengaluru. Established in 2022 as a joint venture between Toyo Engineering India (a subsidiary of Toyo Japan) and Offshore Frontier Solutions (a MODEC Group company), OFS India currently employs nearly 200 professionals and aims to grow its workforce to 750 over the next three years.

The centre is actively recruiting engineering talent, with a focus on mechanical, civil/structural, electrical, and instrumentation disciplines. Future plans also include expanding into procurement services to further support global operations.

“The Bengaluru GCC is a strategic hub designed to strengthen our global project execution, enhance engineering capabilities, and accelerate digital transformation,” said Takashi Kawahara, Managing Director of Toyo India and Chairman of OFS India. “This centre reflects our long-term commitment to India—not only by creating hundreds of high-quality job opportunities but also by supporting India’s growing role as a global centre for engineering and innovation.”

Kawahara emphasized the ongoing need for skilled talent: “We’re continuing to hire across all levels. We need experienced professionals as well as younger engineers with fresh ideas and enthusiasm.”
