Charge Up! India's Largest Airside EV Hub Lands at Bengaluru Airport

Servotech Renewable Power System has secured a landmark order from Bengaluru International Airport (BIAL) to set up an ultra-fast EV charging hub at Kempegowda International Airport, marking a major step toward sustainable airport operations.

The project will feature 10 high-capacity DC chargers of 240 kW each, delivering a total installed capacity of 2.4 MW. This will be the first and largest airside EV charging station at any Indian airport, dedicated to powering electric buses that transport passengers between terminals and aircraft.

Designed for ultra-fast turnaround times, the hub will enhance operational efficiency and support round-the-clock airside mobility, while significantly reducing carbon emissions. Servotech will manage the full project lifecycle — from supply and installation to testing, commissioning, and five years of maintenance.

This initiative reinforces the airport’s commitment to sustainability and sets a benchmark for green infrastructure in Indian aviation.
