Renault India Taps IIT Kanpur to Supercharge Passenger Vehicle R&D

Renault India is leveling up its R&D capabilities through a new strategic partnership with IIT Kanpur. Under the agreement, the automaker will leverage the premier institute’s National Wind Tunnel Facility (NWTF) to conduct advanced aerodynamic and wind-noise testing for its upcoming passenger vehicles. Vikraman V, Chief of Engineering at Renault Group India, noted that the collaboration is a major step forward in strengthening the brand's local engineering footprint—ultimately driving higher vehicle performance, efficiency, and refinement.
