Emphasizing timely completion and quality execution, the Minister set firm deadlines and urged officials to prioritize efficiency and public convenience.
Key Projects and Timelines:
Gwalior Elevated Road Project
Phase 1 (₹446.92 crore) – Completion targeted by 01 October 2027, Phase 2 (₹926.21 crore) – Completion expected by 19 November 2027
Objective: Decongest urban traffic and improve city mobility
Gwalior Railway Station Redevelopment
Cost: ₹534.70 crore, Completion Deadline: April 2026
Scope: Addition of new platforms, modern passenger amenities, and heritage preservation
Agra–Gwalior Expressway, Estimated Cost: ₹4,613 crore, Land acquisition is currently underway
Expected Impact: Catalyze industrial and commercial development across the region
Minister Scindia directed officials to avoid project delays that inconvenience the public and called for a multi-sectoral push in infrastructure, education, health, sanitation, and public services. He reiterated the government’s vision to transform Gwalior into a model district, building on its rich historical and cultural legacy.
