The Avaada Group has commissioned 11 solar power plants in the Yavatmal district of Maharashtra under the Mukhyamantri Saur Krushi Vahini Yojana (MSKVY) 2.0, an initiative aimed at providing farmers with reliable daytime electricity for irrigation and reducing dependence on conventional energy sources.
The newly operational plants include:
4 MW at Kinhi, 3 MW each at Baldi and Dongarkharda, 2 MW each at Bansi and Patan, 5 MW at Mhasola, 2 MW at Galwa, 4 MW each at Pathrad and Parjana, 3 MW each at Sawargaon and Sarfali
Together, these projects are set to benefit approximately 14,900 farmers across 167 villages, improving access to irrigation, lowering energy expenses, and enabling additional income opportunities through surplus energy generation.
Vineet Mittal, Chairman of Avaada Group, described the initiative as a benchmark for integrating renewable energy into rural development, aligning with the Chief Minister’s vision for sustainable and inclusive growth in the state.
Beyond Yavatmal, Avaada is currently implementing over 1,132 MW of solar capacity across Nashik, Pune, Sangli, Ahmednagar, and Beed under MSKVY 2.0—further strengthening Maharashtra’s transition to green energy and supporting long-term agricultural resilience.
