A New Era of Growth: Odisha’s ₹4,515 Crore Investment Push

The Odisha government has approved fresh investments worth ₹4,515 crore across 18 strategic projects, expected to generate more than 8,200 employment opportunities across eight districts.

The approvals were granted during the 139th meeting of the State Level Single Window Clearance Authority (SLSWCA), chaired by Chief Secretary Manoj Ahuja on August 20, 2025. The projects span diverse sectors including green energy, waste management, pharmaceuticals, tourism, steel, electric vehicles, IT infrastructure, and food processing—highlighting Odisha’s commitment to fostering both traditional and emerging industries.

Among key district-wise investments:

Dhenkanal will host a ₹283 crore battery storage facility by INOX Solar.

Jajpur will see a ₹90 crore green hydrogen plant by Jindal Stainless.

Ganjam will get a ₹750 crore solar cell manufacturing unit.

Jagatsinghpur is set to witness ₹363 crore in hospitality projects, including a five-star hotel.

A major highlight is Konark Ispat’s ₹990 crore steel and power expansion project in Jharsuguda. Additional projects in Khurda, Angul, and Sundargarh include investments in electric vehicles, data centres, biogas, recycling, and logistics.

“The government is committed to building a future-ready economy where industrial growth directly contributes to employment and regional development,” the official statement said, reaffirming the state's focus on inclusive and sustainable industrialisation.
