The Andaman & Nicobar Islands Integrated Development Corporation (ANIIDCO) has invited bids from the private sector for the development of a five-star eco-tourism resort on Shaheed Dweep Island (formerly Neil Island), as part of a broader push to promote sustainable tourism in the region.
The project will be implemented on a Design, Build, Finance, Operate, and Transfer (DBFOT) basis under the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model. It aligns with the Andaman & Nicobar Administration’s vision to attract private investment for the creation of high-quality, eco-friendly hospitality infrastructure.
The selected developer will receive a long-term concession to design, build, and operate the resort. Known for its pristine beaches, lush landscapes, and rich marine biodiversity, Shaheed Dweep, located near Port Blair, is a key destination for environmentally conscious, high-end travellers.
The deadline for bid submission is 15 September 2025.
