ACME Group Lights Up Jaipur with 1.2 GW Solar Module Plant

ACME Group has made a strategic move into renewable energy equipment manufacturing with the launch of its 1.2 GW solar PV module production facility in Jaipur. The company is also exploring the possibility of manufacturing solar cells in Rajasthan in the near future.

While trial production began in January, full commercial operations commenced after a stabilization phase and the inclusion of its subsidiary, MKU Holdings, in the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy's Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM). The facility represents an investment of Rs 230 crore, with plans for future capacity expansion.

The manufacturing operations will be managed by MKU Holdings, which aims to achieve a revenue target of Rs 10,000 crore by 2030. The ALMM inclusion allows ACME to participate in government-backed projects and private initiatives requiring certified modules, thereby solidifying its position in India's renewable energy landscape.

“Our entry into renewable equipment manufacturing is in perfect alignment with the Make in India initiative and represents a key milestone in our commitment to advancing India’s clean energy transition,” said Chairman Manoj K Upadhyay.
