Amazon India has announced plans to triple its network of micro-fulfilment centres, targeting a total of 300 facilities by the end of 2025. This expansion is part of a ₹2,000 crore investment aimed at strengthening its quick commerce offering, Amazon Now.
“We are currently operating 100 centres and plan to reach 300 by year-end. This will be our first festive season with quick commerce capabilities, and we look forward to learning from the experience,” said Karan Chugh, Director – Operations, Amazon India.
The expansion will enable Amazon to extend its rapid delivery services to more cities, positioning it to compete more aggressively in India’s fast-growing quick commerce segment.
In addition to its planned micro-fulfilment network, Amazon India currently operates 17 fulfilment centres, 75 delivery stations, and six sortation centres across the country.
