Anchor for Growth: DPA Hits 50 MT Cargo Benchmark!

Union Minister of State for Ports, Shipping and Waterways Shantanu Thakur chaired a comprehensive review meeting at Deendayal Port Authority (DPA) to evaluate its operational efficiency, ongoing infrastructure projects, and green energy transitions.

Commending the port for achieving a record-fast 50 MT cargo handling milestone this financial year, the Minister discussed long-term capacity expansion with senior leadership, including DPA Chairman Sushil Kumar Singh and Deputy Chairman Nilabhra Dasgupta. The visit concluded with a stakeholder interactive session aimed at strengthening public-private coordination and advancing India’s broader maritime vision.
