AUSL Sparks Innovation with 5MW Solar Plant

Aditya Ultra Steel (AUSL), a prominent manufacturer of rolled steel products under the Kamdhenu brand, has announced a significant step toward sustainable energy with the development of a 5,000 KWP solar captive power plant.

Located in Jasdan, Rajkot (Gujarat), this initiative underscores AUSL’s commitment to environmental responsibility, operational cost efficiency, and reduced reliance on conventional energy sources. Established in 2011, the company specializes in the production of TMT bars, primarily serving the construction and infrastructure sectors. Its Wankaner facility, situated on National Highway 8-A, has an annual production capacity of 1,08,000 MT.

The solar plant, to be built at Survey Nos. 105, 106 P-1, 108 & 109 in Village Kundani, will supply clean, renewable power directly to the Wankaner manufacturing unit. This aligns with the company's long-term sustainability strategy.

In a Board of Directors meeting held on 29 April 2025, AUSL approved a land lease agreement for the project with KPI Green Energy, a well-regarded solar energy infrastructure provider. This initiative is expected to significantly lower the company’s carbon footprint and mitigate exposure to fluctuating energy prices, reinforcing AUSL’s alignment with global climate action goals.
