Bengaluru Bypass Boost: New Flyover to Unsnarl Hebbal Traffic

The Greater Bengaluru Authority (GBA) has announced the construction of a 1.4 km flyover connecting Esteem Mall Junction, Ballari Road, and Manyata Tech Park to ease traffic congestion on Hebbal Road.

The project, to be executed by the Bangalore Development Authority (BDA), will allow smooth movement from the Outer Ring Road–KR Puram side directly to Ballari Road, bypassing Hebbal Junction. Planning discussions with relevant departments have been completed, and implementation is set to begin soon.

During a site inspection, GBA Chief Commissioner M. Maheshwar Rao instructed BDA officials to complete a new loop at the Hebbal flyover within 15 days. While the flyover from KR Puram into the city is already operational, the connecting loop is under construction, with the first girder installed and concrete work underway. Commissioner Rao also directed the completion of road asphalting, repair of damaged footpaths near Hebbal Lake, and asphalting of roads in RMV 2nd Stage and Basaveshwara Layout to enhance overall connectivity.
