The Bengaluru Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) has awarded a contract worth Rs 45.3 crore to OTIS Elevator for the supply, installation, and long-term maintenance of gearless elevators across stations in Phase-2A and Phase-2B of the metro network expansion.
The contract covers the end-to-end design, manufacturing, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of elevators customized for metro operations. It also includes integrated system testing, a 10-year comprehensive annual maintenance contract (CAMC), and a defect liability period (DLP) to ensure sustained performance and reliability.
This initiative supports BMRCL’s ongoing efforts to enhance commuter accessibility and convenience, reinforcing its vision of a modern, efficient urban transit system. By leveraging OTIS’s cutting-edge vertical mobility solutions, the project aims to improve operational efficiency and elevate the overall passenger experience.
