Beyond Classrooms: Cognizant's 14-Acre Innovation Hub Takes Shape.

Cognizant has announced plans to develop a 14-acre immersive learning centre within its 50-acre Siruseri campus in Chennai. Set for completion within three years, the facility will serve as a hub for workforce training and skill development.

Designed to train 100,000 individuals annually, the centre will feature 14,000 seats, smart classrooms, incubator hubs, client experience zones, design thinking centres, residential accommodations, and well-being facilities. It will operate under a hub-and-spoke model, supporting additional learning centres in Hyderabad, Pune, Kochi, and Coimbatore.

As Cognizant’s primary training hub for its school graduate program in India, the centre will also host bootcamps for fresh graduates and provide a collaborative space for technology partners, academia, clients, and communities to drive research and innovation.

“The capabilities to excel in an AI-driven world will differentiate the leaders from the followers,” said S Ravi Kumar, CEO of Cognizant. “Our new centres will power new skills and a culture of continuous learning, enabling our people to drive business impact globally.”

Since 2024, Cognizant has expanded its presence in India with new delivery centres in Bhubaneswar and Indore, along with plans for a techfin centre in GIFT City, Gujarat. The company has also modernised its Hyderabad and Kolkata facilities to align with the future of work and enhance employee experience.

In 2024, Cognizant trained 277,000 employees through its learning ecosystem, with 168,000 completing a Generative AI course. To date, 220,000 employees have been upskilled in GenAI.

With a global workforce of 336,800—over 70% based in India—Cognizant continues to strengthen its presence in key cities, including Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Pune, and Delhi-NCR.
