Bharat Forge Takes Flight with New Aerospace Mill

Bharat Forge Ltd (BFL), a global leader in advanced forging and precision engineering, is set to establish a cutting-edge ring mill in Pune dedicated to aerospace applications. The move follows a significant supply agreement with Pratt & Whitney Canada for aero-engine components.

The upcoming facility, expected to be operational by 2026, will expand BFL’s aerospace manufacturing footprint and is designed to produce high-performance, safety-critical components that meet stringent global standards for quality, traceability, and reliability. It will cater to both domestic and international aerospace programs, reinforcing India’s ambition to emerge as a global hub for aerospace manufacturing.

Bharat Forge already supplies advanced components to key sectors including automotive, defence, marine, and aerospace. Commenting on the development, Amit Kalyani, Vice-Chairman and Joint Managing Director of BFL, said, “We are excited to deepen our strategic partnership with Pratt & Whitney Canada through the establishment of this new ring mill. This initiative not only strengthens our role in the global aerospace supply chain but also represents a major step forward in advancing India’s capabilities in high-value aerospace manufacturing.”
