Bids Open for ₹630 Crore BOT Project to Mechanize Paradip Port Berth

Paradip Port Trust has invited bids for the mechanisation of its Multipurpose Berth (MPB) on a Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT) basis in Odisha.

The project is being developed as a common-user public-private partnership (PPP) facility for handling dry bulk cargo, with a proposed capacity of 8 million tonnes per annum (MTPA). The 250-metre-long berth features a 14.5-metre draft, enabling efficient and uninterrupted cargo operations.

The concession period is 30 years, which includes a 30-month construction timeline. The scope of work covers:

Mechanisation of the berth

Provision of all supporting infrastructure and cargo-handling equipment

Operation and maintenance of the facility throughout the concession period

A total of 3,00,000 sq. metres of land has been allocated for cargo storage, supporting the operational requirements of the terminal.

The indicative capital cost of the project is estimated at ₹630.67 crore. This strategic initiative is expected to significantly enhance cargo handling efficiency at Paradip Port and promote regional industrial and trade growth.

The deadline for bid submission is 31 October 2025.
