Big Ticket Win: RailTel Secures Rs 120.45 Crore Contract for South Central Railway Upgrade

RailTel Corporation of India has successfully secured a significant contract valued at Rs 120.45 crore from South Central Railway (SCR) for the implementation of comprehensive signaling and telecommunication solutions.

Under this agreement, RailTel will be responsible for the execution of signaling and telecommunication projects, specifically focusing on the provision of an automatic block signaling system within the Yermaras-Nalwar section of the Guntakal Division in SCR. The entire project is slated to be completed within a timeframe of 720 days from the commencement date.

Established in September 2000, RailTel Corporation of India plays a pivotal role in creating a widespread broadband, telecom, and multimedia network across the country. In addition to offering broadband and VPN services, RailTel contributes to the modernization of the train control operation and safety systems within the Indian Railways network. This recent contract further underscores RailTel's commitment to enhancing railway infrastructure and ensuring advanced signaling and telecommunication capabilities in key railway divisions.
