Bihar Water Boost: ₹261 Crore Bids Open

The Bihar Urban Infrastructure Development Corporation (BUIDCo) has invited bids for the Biharsharif and Begusarai Water Supply Schemes under the AMRUT 2.0 initiative.

The total estimated cost of the projects is ₹136.35 crore for Biharsharif and ₹124.8 crore for Begusarai, bringing the combined investment to ₹261.15 crore.

Selected bidders will be responsible for the design, construction, operation, and maintenance of a fully functional water supply system in the designated areas. The contracts will follow a design-build-operate-maintain (DBOM) model, requiring the contractor to secure all necessary permits, prepare detailed designs, and execute the construction.

The project completion timeline is 24 months for both schemes. The deadline for bid submission is April 15, 2025.
